Ozon Expertplace Platform Development
Expertplace is Ozon’s internal knowledge-sharing platform designed to connect employees across the organization.

Ozon provided the initial product architecture and visual style. Our studio was responsible for delivering the full platform build within an eight-week deadline — including development, quality assurance, iterative bug fixing, launch preparation, and post-launch technical support. During the early phases, our task was to identify and resolve any unforeseen issues and ensure a smooth experience for thousands of internal users.

Challenge
The project required implementing a multi-tier role model with moderation, an advanced expert dashboard, a request and reviews system, and a points-based rewards marketplace.
From a technical standpoint, the platform needed:
- SSO integration
- full-text search with morphology and typo tolerance
- a flexible CMS for administrators
- secure data encryption
- a robust notifications system
- a stable, responsive interface capable of handling complex user flows

Solution
Grid Rebels built a scalable architecture that supported the role model, moderation workflows, and all expert-side functionality. During the first two months after launch website, our technical support and helpdesk provided 24/7 support, ensuring the stability of user dashboards, email notifications, and the rewards system.
In the six months following release, a dedicated technical specialist continued to support and refine the platform — resolving edge cases related to domain security, data processing, and integrations across Ozon’s corporate infrastructure.
We successfully delivered the platform on time, enhanced it during the initial operational phase, and transitioned it into a stable long-term solution that has since become a key component of Ozon’s internal learning and corporate culture.
